My Blogs have covered lots of really good reasons to include exercise as a part of a healthy lifestyle, but here’s another little ‘nugget’. How’s about giving your sex life a bit of a boost?
Exercise helps you to lose weight and look better, which is a bonus in anyone’s love life, but it also gives you more energy and stamina for that special person – fantastic! I’ve spoken many times about why exercise is so important for overall health, but studies have also found that there is a direct correlation between physical inactivity and a lack of potency.
So, here’s an exercise recipe for giving your love life a bit of extra va va voom:
Build cardio endurance – this will make your heart strong and enable you to keep going.
Build muscular endurance too – including body conditioning with weights will come in handy for longer lasting sessions.
Build overall strength – so make sure the weights you use provide enough of a challenge to your muscles.
And, to the ladies, remember my Blog about Why Women Should Lift Weights , I want to reinforce the promise that you will not build bulky muscles. But what you can look forward to is feeling stronger, and having sexy tone and definition.
Lastly, remember that both sex and exercise have been proven to help reduce stress, so imagine how relaxed and happy you’ll be if you do both regularly And, of course, they both burn calories – although you’ll need to really ramp up your heart rate for the serious ‘burn’!
