Don’t forget to celebrate every single one of your achievements. It’s so easy to get caught up in the daily rigmarole and to forget how far you’ve come in achieving your fitness goals. But it’s really important to be mindful of what you’ve achieved before you move on to the next phase.

Don’t let any achievement, no matter how small you may think it is, pass un-noticed in the dash towards either the end goal, or the next milestone. Take a moment to really acknowledge what you’ve achieved, and to take inspiration from your determination to succeed.

In the same vein, take time to think about what hasn’t gone as well as you’d have liked. This isn’t to castigate yourself but, again, to acknowledge what has happened so that it leaves the way open to think about the positive changes you can make to get back on track.

And finally, in the quest to achieve your fitness goals, never ever compare yourself to others. What others are able to do, or how they look is completely irrelevant, and allowing yourself to think in this way can sabotage your progress, and damage hard won self-esteem and confidence.

It’s all about you, your goals and your achievements!
